Rajab: The Month of the Sultan,Allah.

Salam alaikum wr wb,

AlhamduliLlah, finally the month of Rajab have arrived, just want to remind ourselves that this is the month of Allah, so we should be mindful of what we are doing,we need to 100x more active in our amalan, istighfar and most of all take really good care of our adab.

as narrated in a hadith our beloved prophet [saw] said:

رجب شهر الله، وشعبان شهري، ورمضان شهر أمتي‏

So let us be aware of what we do in this month and whole heartedly respect this blessed month.

Also narrated by `Uthmān ibn Hakeem from Muhammad ibn Ubayd.
‏The fast of the first day of Rajab is repentance for three years and the [fasting] second day is repentance for two years and the [fast of] third day is repentance for a year and then each [remaining] day is [repentance for] a month.
Abi Sa`eed  related:
Rajab is one of the four forbidden months, [in which fighting is prohibited]. Its days are written on the Gates of the sixth heaven. When a man fasts one of its days and renews his fast with the fear and consciousness of Allah, Allah makes that gate to speak and makes that day to speak, saying, "O our Lord forgive him!"
And if he does not complete or perfect his fast with fear of Allah, they do not ask forgiveness for him and it is said, “your own self has betrayed you!”[5]

From Ibn `Umar  that the Prophet  said:
Whoever fasts the first day of Rajab it will be equivalent to the fast of one year; and whoever fasts seven days in it, the seven gates of Hell will be closed for him; and whoever fasts ten days from Rajab, a caller will call out from the sky, “Ask and you will be given!”

It is said that during this month the angels will no longger write our amalan but Allah [swt] Himself will write the amalan of His servant (that is reward it's servants personally for their amalan and not even the malaikat knows how much rewards they get) in this blessed month as it is His month. waLlahu a'lam.

Allah s.w.t is always there for you and answer you

I said: My sins are so many.

Allah said: "And who can forgive sins except Allah? " [3:135]

I said: Do not leave me.

Allah said: "So remember Me; I will remember you." [2:152]

I said: I'm facing a lot of difficulties in life.

Allah said: "And whoever fears Allah ? He will make for him a way out." [65:2]

I said: I have many dreams that I want to come true.

Allah said: "Call upon Me; I will respond to you." [40:60]

subhanaLlah.

Mati adalah nikmat bagi orang yang beriman

“Aku adalah seorang ulama. Allah kurniakan keimanan di dalam
Hatiku.
beriman. Sekiranya aku bangun menghormati kamu, ini bermakna
aku telah menghina agamaku sendiri,” kata Badiuzzaman Said Nursi.

“Dengan mengatakan aku orang yang tidak beriman, awak sebenarnya
telah menghina aku dan tenteraku. Bahkan awak juga telah menghina
bangsa dan negaraku. Kerana itu awak akan dihukum,” marah
Jeneral Nicolas Nicolavich.

Dialog tersebut berlaku apabila Jeneral Rusia yang terkenal itu melawat tempat
tahanan perang Qusturma. Badiuzzaman Said Nursi antara mereka yang menjadi
tawanan ditempat itu. Apabila Jeneral Nicolas Nicolavich melawat tempat
Semua
tahanan berdiri kecuali Badiuzzaman Said Nursi. Tindakannya itu menuimbulkan
kemarahan jeneral tersebut.

Beberapa orang rakannya cuba memujuk Badiuzzaman Said Nursi supaya pergi
memohon maaf kepada Jeneral Nicolas Nicolavich. Tetapi beliau menjawab

sisi Rasulullah. Aku hanya memerlukan pasport untuk ke sana. Ini
adalah peluang aku untuk mendapatkannya,” tegas Badiuzzaman
Said Nursi yang tidak berganjak dari pendiriannya.

Badiuzzaman Said Nursi dijatuhkan hukuman tembak kerana dituduh menghina
Jeneral Nicolas Nicolavich. Sebelum hukuman dijalankan, beliau
meminta untuk berwuduk dan sembahyang sunat dua
rakaat.Permintaannya itu diperkenankan oleh Jeneral Nicolas Nicolavich
yang turut menyaksikan hukuman tersebut .

Badiuzzaman Said Nursi sembahyang dengan kusyuk. Selesai

Nursi.

Jeneral Nicolas Nicolavich berasa kagum lalu berkata. “Aku sangka apa yang
kamu lakukan untuk menghina aku, sebab itulah kamu dikenakan
hukuman. Sekarang aku faham, kamu bertindak mengikut iman kamu,
miliki.Aku mohon maaf kerana menyusahkan kamu,” kata Jeneral itu.

Adab suluk murid by Imam Ali al-haddad

AlhamduliLlah alfa marraat!:D
one of my favourite ustaz just returned back to Singapore from Yemen ,Ustaz Abu Zaki.
He'll be teaching at Tradisi Halaqah every wednesday night after maghrib using a book that was written by Imam Ali al-haddad.

aslmkm wr wb,

so for the first session/class, ustaz Abu Zaki told us to think about our lives, what is the point and purpose of our living, is it really worth it to work hard and spent hours of your energy on this dunya which is equal value of a mosquito's wing? what are we created for? he asked us to reflect on our future etc. eg. are we sure that we would live long enough in this temporary life? a person maybe 20 years old and another maybe 60 years old, outwardly it looks like the person who is 60 years old is the older one , but what if the person who is 20 years old will die the next year whereas the person who is 60 years will die 40 years time. So basically in the eyes of Allah the 20 years old is actually older than the 60 years old guy. So don't think that because you're a teenager you will live long enough and postpone your good deeds until you're old. that's what the syaitan wants you to think and do. So don't delay any good deeds that you feel like doing and stop wasting time.

secondly, he told us that all of us should put inside our heart an aim/goal or desire to get closer to Allah [swt]. Because without any desire to get closer to Allah [swt] ,a person can easily be swept away and tricked by his nafs and shaitan .eg; like if we're in the ocean and we have nothing to hold on to, basically we'll be easily followed and get dragged by the wave to wherever it takes us to. But if we were to hold on to a rope that is attacth to a building, so no matter how strong the wave pushes or pulls us, we will not be easily followed by it as we've hold on tightly on the rope that are tied to a strong building. just like our life, if we have no motives and goals in our lives, we'll be easily tricked and follow the needs of our nafs.

Now, after you set your desire to get closer to Allah [swt], now you just need to put in effort in it. What's the point if you just hold on to the rope but didn't pull yourself to get closer to the building? you need to pull yourself with every effort and energy you have, the more energy and effort you put in, the faster you will reached the building for safety. So you need to put effort to get closer to Allah [swt]. as the formulae of life goes : LIFE = passion + effort + tawakkal =SUCCESS.

until now, inshaAllah i'll share more next time.
wassalam.

Reflection

AlhamduliLlah , AlhamduliLlah walhamduliLlah 'ala kulli haal..

aslmkm wr wb,
alhamduliLlah, this week i get to go out 3 days with jemaah tabligh/da'wah from indonesia, all of them are santris(students) and mashaAllah, all of them are just awesome. as the saying goes,"if you can't be a good servant, then join them..".

The jemaah is very down to earth, tawaddhu' and have good akhlaq. One of the nasihah from the santris hit me "it was said that the best of zikr is La ilaaha illaLlah (there is no God but Allah) and the best of dua' is AlhamduliLlah..so whatever you do,just say alhamduliLlah for the blessings that you receive and you will get more, as what Allah has promised.. don't always be too energetic/eager and ask something for more without even praising Allah [swt] and thank Him for the blessings.." and yeah, sometimes without noticing it, lately i've been asking too much from Him without putting in any efforts and always complain about stuffs that makes me feel lost and confuse. He is the best of planner, so note to self , if you only pray because you feel the
zouq or nikmat in the prayer and stop if you don't then you really are not a slave of Allah, you pray out of the nikmat you feel in it and not for the sake of Allah. But , if whatever happens to you, whether you're sad, confuse or happy etc. and you still keep praying and istiqamah in the things that you do, then that is true worship.
Ya Allah , let us pray because of YOU and not because of what we feel or any other reasons.
Ease the burden of your servants who needs help and open all of their hearts to get closer to You and love You more. ameen

Just have Faith

Dear self,
Please, whatever you do just have faith in Allah and never give up on Him. You might have sinned many times yet His forgiveness is wider and His mercy is bigger than your sin. So just repent and have faith in Him, He's the Most Forgiving. Even if you preach yet you yourself do not do it, just have faith, and do not stop talking about Him even if your Heart is not present in it. For it is even worse if your mouth has stop talking about Him and only talk about the dunya, for in His name there is barakah. Do not stop zikir even if you are not khushu', keep on continue zikir even if you are not sincere in it.You might have called Him a thousand times and feels like He doesn't even respond, for that kind of thinking is the thinking of the ignorant,so just be patient and wait for His reply. For surely He will definitely reply you.. not in the way you want it to be, but in a way that you need. Everything came from Him and everything or everyone that comes into your life there is a reason in it.His wisdom is Huge,He'll show you the way even by sending a non-believer to teach you a lesson, so don't look down on anyone.Dear Heart, just repent and forget about the past so you can move forward to the future with no burden on your shoulders. just have faith in His Love and Mercy. Repent,Praise and do your best for the future.

Kindness

This is ISLAM.

Narrated Jarir bin ‘Abdullah: Allah’s Messenger said, “Allah will not show mercy to him who does not show mercy to others.” (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

Narrated ‘Aishah: Allah’s Messenger said, “Allah is Kind and He loves kindness, and confers upon kindness which He does not confer upon severity, and does not confer upon any thing besides it (kindness).” (Muslim)

Hadith - Abu Dawud and Tirmidhi

"Those who are kind and considerate to Allah's creatures, Allah bestows His kindness and affection on them. Show kindness to the creatures on the earth so that Allah may be kind to you."

aslmkm wr wb,

Kindness in the sunnah of our Beloved Prophet [saw],it is part of good character or Ahklaq.. Imagine if the entire muslim community just do a little act of kindness everyday in the streets or any other places in the countries like singapore etc, whether it is towards human or animal, seriously it wouldn't be impossible that one day (eg.)Singapore will be a muslim country if we as muslim could just shi'ar or show the sunnah of the Prophet [saw] towards the non-muslim. The most important this in life is Good-character than knowledge.

For Islam is a religion of Love rather than Peace, because when you have Love, you have everything. When you love someone you would be at peace with them and also you would sacrifice everything for them, just like the way of the sahabas but when you are at peace with someone, it doesn't mean that you love them and will sacrifice everything for them.So love everyone for the sake of Allah, not just towards your family nor friends nor the muslim brothers and sisters, but love the entire human for the sake of Allah.

yeah, my dream as a muslim in singapore is just that we can stop fighting each other and start loving one another .. and i hope that singapore will one day be an islamic country with the help and love from you all, that's my dream anw. and i hope that you guys can also make dua' that the ummah of s'pore will be stronger by the day by following his (saw) sunnah purely with love. If every one doa' this inshaAllah it will come true. as law of attraction says: you attract what you imagine or think. so let us imagine that Singapore is an islamic country. inshaAllah Qabuul.
